glibc since 2.28 dropped DES encryption routines setkey() and encrypt(),
but uclibc still provides them. So, if building with uclibc, we can
avoid using huge openssl library.

Since glibc 2.28
(https://savannah.gnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=9205), the obsolete
functions encrypt, encrypt_r, setkey, setkey_r, cbc_crypt, ecb_crypt,
and des_setparity are no longer available to newly linked binaries, and
the headers <rpc/des_crypt.h> and <rpc/rpc_des.h> are no longer
installed. These functions encrypted and decrypted data with the DES
block cipher, which is no longer considered secure. Software that still
uses these functions should switch to a modern cryptography library,
such as libgcrypt.
So retrieve an upstream patch to use openssl instead of these functions
and a new patch to remove the unsafe header/library path
'-I/usr/include/openssl'

By default pppd built by buildroot writes the list of nameservers to
/etc/resolv.conf instead of /etc/ppp/resolv.conf
This is not the default behavior of pppd and breaks name resolution
if several network interfaces are used. The change makes this optional
and enabled by default, to be backward compatible and to add a possibility
to turn this behavior off, if required.

While the autotools infrastructure was using FOO_MAKE_OPT, generic packages
were typically using FOO_MAKE_OPTS. This inconsistency becomes a problem
when a new infrastructure is introduced that wants to make use of
FOO_MAKE_OPT(S), and can live alongside either generic-package or
autotools-package. The new infrastructure will have to choose between either
OPT or OPTS, and thus rule out transparent usage by respectively generic
packages or generic packages. An example of such an infrastructure is
kconfig-package, which provides kconfig-related make targets.
The OPTS variant is more logical, as there are typically multiple options.
This patch renames all occurrences of FOO_MAKE_OPT in FOO_MAKE_OPTS.

Fix the plugin search path by passing a --prefix to configure.
DESTDIR is used in the source code for the search path of plugins
(DESTDIR/lib/pppd/VERSION).
Since DESTDIR defaults to /usr/local we get the search path wrong so the
'plugin' directive requires a full pathspec to the plugin rather than
the .so name, which isn't nice or portable.

In pppd.mk the radattr.so plugin (for radiua) is installed twice (the second
install overwriting the first) but the radrealms.so plugin is omitted from
the install. This appears to be a copy-paste error.

packages using Makefile.autotools.in for some time. Do the same
for packages using autotools, but not using the
